Housing & Meals

Coworkers are provided with a room at no cost to the coworker.  One should expect to share a room with one other coworker.  Shared restroom and shower facilities are located down the hall. At each camp coworkers are provided three meals per day at no cost to the coworker .  When available, coworkers are required to access breakfast, lunch and dinner meals from the buffet set-up to serve Camp guests.  When buffet meals are not available or inaccessible due to work schedules, coworkers may order off the same menu used by camp guests (Note - Arctic Base Camp does not include meals).

Yukon River Camp

Yukon River Camp coworkers can expect to share a room in one of two on-site housing areas.  Roommates and locales are assigned at random unless otherwise requested. Bedding is issued to you when you arrive at Yukon River Camp.  Bedding includes: linens, blankets and pillows.  Coworkers are expected to bring their own towels and shower accessories.

Coldfoot Camp

Summer
During the summer months, Coldfoot Camp Coworkers can expect to share a 3-season tent with one other coworker. There is no electricity in the tents.  Access to electrical outlets for recharging is available at a variety of locations in camp.  Shower facilities are a short walk from tents. Because shower facilities will incorporate an outdoor walk, it is necessary to bring proper clothing and footwear.  Bedding will be issued to you when you arrive at Coldfoot Camp.  Bedding includes: linens, blankets and pillows.  You are required to bring your own towels and shower accessories.

Winter
Housing accommodations during the winter season are located inside.  The rooms are double occupancy rooms inside coworker housing; this is dormitory-style housing with bathrooms down the hall.  Each room has electricity and bedding will be issued upon arrival.

Deadhorse Camp

On-site shared rooms with electricity are the standard in Deadhorse.  Bathrooms are a short walk away in detached facility.  Each room has electricity and bedding will be issued upon arrival.

Arctic Base Camp

Modeled after our remote Camps along the Dalton Highway, Arctic Base Camp is located within easy walking distance of downtown Fairbanks in a quiet cul-de-sac at the confluence of Noyes Slough and the Chena River.

Residents live in shared rooms or trailers (2 beds per) and have access to a communal shower, bathroom and living area. Unlike the remote camps, Fairbanks Camp does not have a cook, so campers can share culinary duties or be independent, as they prefer. There is a fully equipped kitchen located in the main building.

Arctic Base Camp is approximately 7 miles from the Northern Alaska Tour Company Fairbanks Office. Limited daily shuttles will run between the camp and the office but for convenience one might wish to have a car or bicycle.
